IOWA BILL WOULD CHANGE HOW TEACHERS DEAL WITH CLASSROOM BEHAVIOR
"School employees would receive guidelines on handling violent behavior and could physically remove a student from class for more reasons under a bill advanced by a Senate subcommittee Thursday. Proposed by Sen. Amy Sinclair, R-Allerton, Senate Study Bill 3080 would provide more standards and guidelines, as well as protections, for teachers dealing with threatening and violent behavior in the classroom." On Wednesday Feb. 5th 6pm in rm. 103 supreme court chambers the education committee is having a subcommittee meeting about this and is encouraging principals, supers, and teachers to come participate.
