JOB SUMMARY: The teaching load is four courses per semester or course equivalents totaling 12 credits, including classes on campus and in distance learning. The candidate must be qualified to teach a variety of elementary education classes including literacy. The position involves classroom teaching, student advising, field experience supervision, and committee responsibilities. This position is tenure-track eligible.

Position Summary:
The Director works with all educator preparation programs at Iowa State University (ISU) to ensure that requirements for teacher licensure, and for specific endorsements in the State of Iowa, are met through the completion of curricula in various majors.  This includes the review of all Educator Preparation policies, procedures, and programs and the development of processes necessary for audits /reviews that ensure successful accreditation by the State of Iowa.
